Live Well, Work Well:Workplace Leadership for a Healthier, More Productive Greater Manchester Workforce

15 July 2026, 12:00 – 13:30
House of Social, Manchester, United Kingdom
Cost: Member / Non Member

Join us for a focused one hour session exploring how organisations can better support leaders while strengthening workplace wellbeing across Greater Manchester.

This event brings together a carefully selected panel of experts to provide a balanced and practical discussion on the realities of leadership today and its impact on workforce health and productivity.

The session will begin with an introduction from a representative of Live Well, who will outline the organisation’s 10-year strategy. Greater Manchester’s Live Well strategy isn’t just a public health ambition; it is also a workforce productivity and retention strategy, with employers acting as critical delivery partners. This introduction will highlight what Live Well offers employers including tools, referral pathways, and community partnerships, and how businesses can use these resources to reduce health related barriers to work, integrate wellbeing strategies, and realise financial and organisational benefits. This will be followed by a chaired panel discussion.

The panel has been intentionally designed to reflect a wide range of professional perspectives. Experts from HR, legal, medical or therapeutic, and wellbeing backgrounds will share insights from their fields, ensuring the conversation is inclusive and multidimensional. Together, they will explore the pressures leaders face, the legal and organisational risks involved, the mental health considerations that cannot be ignored, and practical steps organisations can take to strengthen workplace wellbeing and leadership capability.

Throughout the session, panelists will draw on real world experience of implementing leadership and wellbeing strategies. Attendees can expect honest reflections on challenges, lessons learned, and measurable outcomes. Particular emphasis will be placed on equipping managers with practical tools, training approaches, and structured support that can be applied immediately within their own teams.

The event is designed as a safe and constructive space to acknowledge the demands placed on leaders and to explore meaningful, sustainable solutions. Participants will leave with actionable insights and greater clarity on how to build stronger support systems that promote both effective workplace leadership and long term workforce wellbeing across Greater Manchester.
