Counter Context is a leading communications and public affairs company based in the north of England. We help clients in the built environment and beyond, to consult, engage and promote.

We began life in the early 90s. The need for genuine community engagement in the development of the built environment was identified and embraced by John Krachai, founder of the company. Informed by his own experiences of working on British Rail infrastructure, Counter Context was born on the premise that meaningful, open and two-way communication builds understanding, trust and support for ideas, projects and organisations.

This thinking underpins our work today. More than 20 years on, we have experience of designing innovative communications solutions for clients across the UK, elsewhere in Europe and North America. Using insightful research, innovative ideas and creative concepts, we deliver effective and strategic solutions.
